A
GOLFERS PARADISE

Mosa Trajectum
The
Orihuela Costa area is fast becoming Spains south-east capital
for excellent golfing facilities with new courses and resorts
being added yearly and more under construction. There are 5 in
the immediate area, within a 10 to 25 minute drive, namely:
Campoamor, Las Ramblas, Villamartin, La Finca, and La Marguesa.
Slighly further away but still within a short drive you will
find La Manga, the new Mosa Trajectum resort, Alenda Golf Club,
Roda, La Serena, La Torre, and many more. All have excellent facilities and can
be enjoyed by golfers of all standards and handicaps. See Links
page for details

The terrace
bar/restaurant at Campoamor (above) is worth visiting,
even if you dont play golf.
Unlike the Costa Del Sol, greenfees here are still very
reasonable, ranging from 43euro for a challenging course like Las
Ramblas to 70euro for the fabulous La Finca course,
rumoured to be shortly hosting a Spanish Open. Buggy and club
hire is also very reasonable.

Decisions!
Decisions! Will I laze by the pool or relax on
the beach ?
Either way you can enjoy on average 330 days sunshine a year on
the Costa Blanca. With a choice of 3 blue flag beaches within
walking distance. or the fabulous pool and sun terrace in the
Costamarina complex, you have no excuse for not going home with
a healthy glow.
Have a snack from Bar Med on the terrace, or your lunch on the
large balcony in the apartment which overlooks the pool.
If it gets too hot, take a stroll along part of the 15km coastal
path from Campoamaor to Playa Flamenca. Stop off for a glass of
sangria or a beer in one of the beach bars and take life easy.
You can even de-stress with a 40 minute Thai Massage on your
sunlounger at La Zenia beach for 20 euro.
Life can be so tough!

Due
to almost year round high temperatures (avg. 20 degrees C) with
low annual rainfall, and the unique micro-climate created by the
proximity of 2 vast salt lakes south of Torrevieja, the World
Health Organisation has declared this area to be one of the
healthiest places in the world to live, making it an ideal
winter and summer holiday choice for anyone with asthma,
arthritis or rheumatism.
It is also a perfect sunshine location during the long cold and
bleak winter months endured by all who live in north and west
European counties.
