Shopping:
Had enough sunbathing or playing golf ? Need some retail
therapy ?
Although there are local shops and supermarkets to satisy
holiday needs, you might like to visit the nearby towns for more
serious 'plastic' shopping.
Torrevieja (15 minutes by car) has a wide selection of
clothing and footwear boutiques, electronic and photographic
outlets, craft shops, and wine stores. Do not miss the new
Habaneras shopping centre beside Carrefour, which has a great
range of clothing and shoe stores.
Alicante City (50 minutes) has an even wider selection of
shops, includind a number of branches of El Cortes Ingles,
Spains largest department store.
You will also find El Cortes Ingles branches in Murcia
and Cartagena, about a 40 minute drive away.
There are also numerous Markets nearby, at Playa
Flamenca on Saturdays, Guardamar on Sundays, and San
Pedro on Mondays, among many others, selling everything from
fruit and vegetables to clothing, footwear, household goods,
lace and crochet, luggage, and gifts.

Sightseeing:
Cabo Roig is within easy reach of many of the historical
towns and scenic drives in this region of Spain. Murcia
with its fabulous Cathedral and cosmopolitan shopping areas,
picturesque Elche with its natural beauty, and the
beautiful Mar Menor coastline stretching from San Pedro
to La Manga. Cartagena is rich in naval history.
Torrevieja is an attractive bustling town, where you can
casually stroll along the new promenade lined with cafe-bars and
ice cream parlours, follow the comings and goings of pleasure
and fishing craft in the harbour, watch sand sculpturers at
work, or enjoy the Friday evening open air market.
Further north you will find Alicante, a haven for
shoppers , with many historial buildings, churches and museums,
and a vast modern marina.
Benidorm, renowned for its high rise apartment blocks, is
the home of Europes largest theme park Terra Mitica, Aqualandia
a huge water park, and Mundomar sealife centre.

we recommend the newly developed coastal path from La Zenia to
Cabo Roig. Bicycles can also be hired locally.
